A guide for authors
The Republican Scientific Journal “SANA LOGOS” accepts and publishes peer-reviewed original research articles and thematic review papers in the following scientific fields:
- Natural Sciences;
- Pedagogy;
- Humanities.
Languages of publication: Kazakh, Russian, and English.
Publication Conditions
Articles are published on a paid basis. The publication fee is determined according to the institutional affiliation of the first (corresponding) author.
Manuscript Submission Procedure
Manuscripts are submitted via the Open Journal Systems (OJS) online platform.
Prior to submission, authors must register on the journal’s website using the following link and upload the manuscript through their personal account:

Peer-Review Policy
The Republican Scientific Journal “SANA LOGOS” follows a double-blind peer-review process. The identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout all stages of the review process.
Before being sent for peer review, all manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to ensure compliance with the journal’s requirements.
Plagiarism Screening and Evaluation Criteria
Manuscripts are checked using the licensed Antiplagiarism system. The minimum required level of originality is 70%.
The following scientific criteria are also evaluated:
- novelty of the research;
- reproducibility of the results obtained;
- originality and scientific significance of the findings;
- compliance of the manuscript’s structure and formatting with the journal’s guidelines;
- relevance and significance of the conclusions.
Manuscripts that do not meet the stated requirements and criteria are not forwarded for peer review and will not be accepted for publication.
Manuscript Structure and Formatting Requirements
To become familiar with the manuscript structure and formatting requirements, authors are encouraged to review the most recently published articles and manuscript templates available on the journal’s website. The manuscript template can be downloaded from the following link:

- Page margins: top and bottom — 2 cm; left and right — 2 cm.
- Text alignment — justified (with automatic hyphenation).
- The UDC (Universal Decimal Classification) index should be indicated in the upper left corner of the first page.
- Manuscripts must be prepared in MS Word, using Times New Roman, 12-point font, with double line spacing.
Article Title and Author Information
- The article title should be informative, precise, and not excessively long.
- Author information must include the surname, initials, and the full official name of the institution where the research was conducted.
- Email addresses and ORCID identifiers of the corresponding author and all co-authors must be provided.
- Complete information about each author is required.
- The number of authors per article must not exceed four.
Abstract and Keywords
The abstract should be structured as follows: “Background and Objectives,” “Materials and Methods,” “Results,” and “Conclusion.”
The abstract must not exceed 500 words.
Keywords should be provided in alphabetical order, in singular form, separated by semicolons (4–6 words or phrases).
The abstract and keywords must be presented at the end of the article in two languages.
Main Sections of the Article
Introduction. The introduction should justify the relevance of the topic based on a review of current scientific literature and clearly define the novelty and significance of the research objectives.
Materials and Methods. The methods used must be reproducible. Standard methods should be accompanied by appropriate references, while new methods require a detailed description.
Results and Discussion. Research findings should be presented using tables, graphs, and/or illustrations. Statistical analysis must be provided, and results should be compared with those of other studies, identifying patterns and/or discrepancies.
Conclusion. The conclusion should summarize the main findings of the study and outline directions for future research.
References and Citations

Only scientific publications published within the last 10 years are accepted (except for classical fundamental works).

References to dissertations, conference proceedings, abstracts, and unpublished materials are not allowed.

DOI must be included whenever available.

References must be arranged alphabetically.
2. In-text Citation
The journal applies the Author–Date format.

Abbreviations and Terms
When an abbreviation is used for the first time, the full term must be provided, followed by the abbreviation in parentheses.
Units of Measurement, Tables, Figures, and Formulas
- Units of measurement must comply with the SI system.
- Special symbols must be inserted using the symbol menu in MS Word.
- A space should be placed between numbers and units of measurement (e.g., 3 kg), but not between numbers and percent signs (e.g., 45%).
Tables
Tables should be placed immediately after their first mention in the text, numbered consecutively, and provided with concise titles positioned above the tables.
Figures
All figures and diagrams must be numbered and cited in the text (e.g., “as shown in Figure 2”). Figure captions should be placed directly below the figures and centered.
Formulas
Simple formulas should be typed directly in the text using symbols, while complex formulas must be created using Microsoft Equation 2.0/3.0.
Manuscript Tracking
The corresponding author may track the status of the submitted manuscript through their personal account and will receive automated notifications from the system.
Peer Review, Revision, and Publication
The journal employs a double-blind peer review process. Reviewer comments are forwarded to the author, who may submit a reasoned response if necessary. The final decision on publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief.
Authors are fully responsible for the content of their manuscripts. All revisions and responses to reviewer and editorial comments must be made in a single file using the MS Word Track Changes feature.
All articles published in the online version of SANA LOGOS are assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier).
